Hysterese

Mastering Hysterese S/T LP on Taken By Surprise, Sabotage, and Dirt Cult Records.

“At last, it was about time, Hysterese strike back with their second s/t 12“. Three years after the stunning demo tape + the debut 12“, countless shows all over Europe and some line up changes they did it again, 10 songs in about 25 minutes. Melodic Punk with teeth, some say garage some say hardcorepunk? Who cares? dual male / female vocals past all description, noisy simple guitar tunes and a rumbling rhythm section, packed in a nice heavy cardboard sleeve. Driving, melodic punk/hardcore (but NOT “melodic hardcore” if ya get the distinction) with dark, swirling undercurrents. Catchy but not at all vapid. Sounding like a cross between Portland, Southern California, and Copenhagen, you could compare this to bands like THE OBSERVERS, NO HOPE FOR THE KIDS, GORILLA ANGREB, or ADOLESCENTS…”

Che Ga Zebra

Mastering Che Ga Zebra “Human Crossing”.

“Minimal rock duo playing idiots’ avant garde including riffs and beats.

Che Ga Zebra is an amorphous dough squeezed through the cookie cutter of the good life. Free jazz, free punk, free fun.”

sinners

Mastering Sinners “Dead Conscience”.

“in your face raw streetpunk!!! no gods, na masters, no nazi’s…
100% anti-racist, -fascist, -homophoob!!
DIY as FUCK!”

BREAKNECK HARDCORE MANGEL!
LIGHTNING FAST RAW HARDCORE! ”

Damned Street 17

Mastering Damned Street Seventeen “Embargo”.

“Punk straight outta damned street.”

Happy Hookers for Jesus

Mastering Happy Hookers for Jesus on Erste Theke Tontraeger Records.

“If you are looking for a new and outstanding band from Europe, here you got it. My mind was blown after the first time of listening to these songs that are so depressive, cold, pissed and snotty. One thing was sure: I just had to repress this EP because 200 copies are far too little for this killer 7“.

What you get is pure Danish unrelenting punk rock damage! Take the smarmy music oft The Urinals, speed it up to 150 % and crank the volume up to the max and you hear what the Happy Hookers For Jesus are all about. This 7“ is a little bastard of punk that‘s stuck in your head with the first listen. A nihilistic feedback orgy in four acts, packed with merciless insanity, screeching guitars, distorted echo-voice and a totally wasted I-don’t-give-a-flying-fuck-attitude, all thrown together in a stinky garage. So, get it or get lost!”

Suspense

Remastering Suspense “Murder with the Axe” 7″ for La Vida Es Un Mus, another crucial release in Dutch punk history.

“I remember getting a letter from one of the DISORDER members who asked me to re-record him the SUSPENSE ep, because the song ‘ Crazy Sod’  got cut off before it ended. As a lot of punk bands, the NEO PUNKZ were influenced a lot by DISCHARGE (and not only musically) and in comparisation to the first ep, they sped up and had a distinct UK82 in sound (as well as their appearance). The subtitle of this record is; ‘ the end of the NEO PUNKZ , this is SUSPENSE’. They replaced one of the guitar players, recorded 3 fast songs and one longer and much slower one.

Again, this is one of the milestones in Dutch punk history and boy, don’t they look good in studs and leather. Essential.”

Neo Punkz

Remastering Neo Punkz “Fascist Fuckers” 7″ for La Vida Es Un Mus, one of the milestones in Dutch punk history.

“Back in 1980, punk was all about nihilism and not giving a fuck. Young punks got themselves guitars and drums and started their own band. So did a bunch of them who hailed from Haarlem, the exact same place Jesus and the Gospelfuckers came from. They recorded 5 songs that sounded snotty and raw. Obviously they did not care a lot about good musicianship and quality recordings and that might be exactly why this is such a great record. Snottiness that sounds natural and not as ‘ wanna be’  as a lot of bands these days. This is an essential record for people who like their punk raw and vicious.

Comes with 8 page booklet including the never before printed lyrics as well as lots of never before used pictures of this young punkz.”

traitre

Mastering Traitre‘s S/T EP on Lada Records (Les âmes d’Atala).

TRAITOR perpetuates the punk / oi tradition!, with melodies yes, but sad as life.”

“Traître, groupe punk tendance cheveux courts, a accepté pour son premier opus de s’acoquiner à LADA, label littéraire du Nord-Pas-de-Calais, autant dire une vaste escroquerie. On est traître ou on ne l’est pas. A l’heure qu’il est, nous ne savons toujours pas qui de la littérature ou de la musique en pâtit le plus. Qu’elles crèvent !

Miscalculations

Mastering Miscalculations second LP “A View For Glass Eyes”.

“Featuring Members of Gaggers, Ladykillers and Disco Lepers, this band from London is the perfect combination of ’77 UK Punk and the dark guitar/synthesizer Post Punk of nowadays. It’s like singer Marco says: “it’s a blend of post punk a la Wire, Joy Division mixed with some electro in the vein of the Units, Screamers, Vicious Visions and a dose of Scandinavian / Euro punk like Masshysteri, Tristess, Invasionen etc.””
