Disco Lepers.jpg

Mastering Disco Lepers “Sophisticated Shame” on Dead Beat Records.

“Disco Lepers- Sophisticated Shame LP.  Totally diggin the stink these guys are throwin’ out there.  Like a stab in the ear, London’s most putrid, bile-spewing snotbags are back with another depraved, dose of debauchery.  DISCO LEPERS continue to hit that tattered, festering vein rattling the same snotty, thunder-punk nerve as the GAGGERS eargasm to heaven.  DISCO LEPERS brilliantly spew 11 rabid scuzz-punk rippers like the the nastiest elements of the Vomit Pigs, Satans Rats, The Victims, The Dickies and The Lewd while totally carrying their own sound and doing it better than most.  Nasty stuff as expected here from members of THE GAGGERS and MISCALCULTIONS!  As long as Terminal Gagger and Co. continue to puke out cruddy blasts of homemade genius like this, count me in!  Tuff lookin’ cover art by Jackie Sudden.”

Miscalculations

Mastering Miscalculations “Kill the Whole Cast” on FDH RecordsP.Trash Records, and Rockstar Records.

“CAPITAN MARCO of the London-based punk rock fleet No Front Teeth Records is an unweary demonio for the good punk work and he was the singer of the recently deceased GAGGERS and played in a helluva other bands. He quickly calculated his remaining super-powers: writer of excellent punk poetry + wizard of super catchy melodies = MISCALCULATIONS. That’s simple math. Bam! New band going. Together with drummer SHAUN he already wrote and pounded out two LPs on Dead Beat and Rockstar Rec. and now kills everything with this third LP. Though the Miscalculations know how to add 7+7, and Marco’s gritty and snotty voice screams ’punk singer’ with every syllable he spits out, Miscalculations definitely advanced the punk sound (some may call it Post-Punk). The 12 songs on ’Kill the whole cast’ are a tasteful blend of the sound of Buzzcocks, Wire, The Statues and even some Mind Spiders with the catchy and sharp, yet laconic guitar work and the melancholic and demanding undertone of Wipers, Masshystery or The Vicious, plus some Electro-Synth-NoWave-Punk of The Units or even The Spits. Always intense, always poetic with outstanding cryptic yrics and wrapped up in cool imagery. When this album has passed they killed the whole cast / You will be obsessed when they killed the whole cast!”

Dying Shames

Mastering Dying Shames S/T 7″ on No Front Teeth Records.

“Garage Rock ‘N’ Roll featuring members of the Ten-O-Sevens, The Gaggers, The Miscalculations, The Ricky C. Quartet, The Seminals and Los Pepes.
This is exceptionally well-written and played blend of 1960’s and 1970’s punk, rock ‘n’ roll and powerpop with nods to The Flamin’ Groovies, Small Faces and Missing Links all brought together with an underlying punk sentiment.
Recorded completely in analogue for the absolute authentic sound.”

Scraps

Mastering Scraps on No Front Teeth Records.

Check out Uber Rock‘s review:

“When you get a member of The Gaggers, Miscalculations and East End Riot kicking up a shit storm of good time old school punk rock under the moniker of The Scraps then it is impossible to fail right? Well what we have here is four tracks of just that, each one as enjoyable as the last. It’s a must buy that’s for sure.  Saving the best till last ‘Watching You’ sounds like it could fall apart at any given moment but it’s the ragged charm that’s the bait and part of its allure and I’m loving it.  As I said four tracks of ragged punk rock old school style is the order of the day and all written and played with much gusto and passion. ‘Waste My Time’ has a smudge of Buzzcocks and Ramones thrown into the mix whilst ‘Time Has Come’ is sharp with a cool as riff. Great stuff indeed. Available HERE on digital but it is apparently being pressed on vinyl as I type.”

Miscalculations

Mastering Miscalculations second LP “A View For Glass Eyes”.

“Featuring Members of Gaggers, Ladykillers and Disco Lepers, this band from London is the perfect combination of ’77 UK Punk and the dark guitar/synthesizer Post Punk of nowadays. It’s like singer Marco says: “it’s a blend of post punk a la Wire, Joy Division mixed with some electro in the vein of the Units, Screamers, Vicious Visions and a dose of Scandinavian / Euro punk like Masshysteri, Tristess, Invasionen etc.””

The Gaggers

Mastering the new Gaggers LP coming out on Wanda Records.

“The Gaggers got together through a staunch hatred of everything new and polished . From members of disco lepers, botox rats, black list brigade, the blowouts, the seminals, the troubadours, the hateful, needle automatics and the london guns. They play in your face, spit in there arse punk rock that’s out with the new and in with the old!. They don’t give a fuck so why should you. Gag on this, get off your computer and go put your fingers down someone’s throat!!!

Their aim was to re-ignite the energy, urgency and danger in real punk rock. The style is late’70’s rock ‘n’ roll influenced by the Jabbers, Dead Boys, Pagans,Heartbreakers and Eater with throat-slashing guitars and razor-sharp vocals. The Gaggers came to attack.”

Mastering Miscalculations‘ LP.

“Miscalculations were formed in a dark, asbestos-lined basement in Harlow and a towering loft overlooking the concrete, steel and flesh of North London. Absorbing their environment, watching analysing and calculating. Miscalculating.

Featuring members of The Gaggers, Ladykillers and Shanghai Wires, Miscalculations capture the cynicism, obscurity and perplexity of their surroundings and filter it down to the purest punk form. Agitated yet melodic, Miscalculations are sharp as a surgeon’s blade.
They take cues from early punk rock, electro punk and contemporary punk mixing the sounds of The Units, Screamers, Warsaw, The Vicious, Masshysteri, Tristess and Vicious Visions with the depth and abstruseness of a Francis Bacon painting. Accurately miscalculated.”

Ricky C Quartet

Ricky C Quartet 7″ on No Front Teeth, mastered here, Moloko Plus Review.

“London re-calling!

It’s up to you…
