Mastering The War Goes On “s/t” on Adult Crash and New Dark Age.

“The record that has been in the works for more than four years from these K-town degenerates is now ready. We are proud to present the dark and rough reality that is THE WAR GOES ON. Made up of people responsible for bands like NO HOPE FOR THE KIDS, HJERTESTOP, and many more K-town classic hardcore bands. This record sees singer Ronni Dybdahl delve further into the depths of darkness and gloom than ever before, and come back with an anthemic hard pounding street punk record that somehow blurs the lines between Oi!, Punk, and Hardcore. This record as the “This Shitty Life” ep we released four years ago, will be available for pre-order in limited quantities coming soon so check back! Get one while you can! “

Mastering Dulac “Four Summers EP” on Sic Life Records.

Recorded and mixed by Assaf Bomgard.

“Limited edition EP from this german band, with a previous album released in TAKEN BY SURPRISE. Features 3 hits, perfect in time for summer. A mix of Post-Punk and Powerpop, and some more influences maybe… all tuneful, upbeat and catchy. References that struck me the most while listening: REPLACEMENTS, ELVIS COSTELLO and a bit of THE JAM.”

Dulac in ihrem vierten Sommer.”

Rats Rest

Mastering Rats Rest “Permanent Catastrophe” EP on Erste Theke Tonträger.

“When it comes to timeless and catchy early 80s US punk sound in these fast and modern times of ours, Rats Rest from Kansas City could take a big part of the cake. If you like the old-school hardcore punk, melodic with a raspy fucked up voice, expressive vocals, mid paced drum-hitting going fast, heavy bass lines, catchy guitar works with a hard-rock attitude / playing, alongside lyric themes about depression, drugs and death, written with a personal view, then this is your new favourite band. I’m reminded of a depressed Marked Men, a bouncy No Hope For The Kids, or a street-punk-infused Leatherface as I spin these tunes. They get it pretty much right, from the well-sung vocals to the guitar solos that occurs over some moody, incessant bass-lines, its always super catchy! So put your sticky fingers on a copy of this and enjoy it!”

Mastering Hysterese S/T LP on Taken By Surprise, Sabotage, and Dirt Cult Records.

“At last, it was about time, Hysterese strike back with their second s/t 12“. Three years after the stunning demo tape + the debut 12“, countless shows all over Europe and some line up changes they did it again, 10 songs in about 25 minutes. Melodic Punk with teeth, some say garage some say hardcorepunk? Who cares? dual male / female vocals past all description, noisy simple guitar tunes and a rumbling rhythm section, packed in a nice heavy cardboard sleeve. Driving, melodic punk/hardcore (but NOT “melodic hardcore” if ya get the distinction) with dark, swirling undercurrents. Catchy but not at all vapid. Sounding like a cross between Portland, Southern California, and Copenhagen, you could compare this to bands like THE OBSERVERS, NO HOPE FOR THE KIDS, GORILLA ANGREB, or ADOLESCENTS…”

The War Goes On-“This Shitty Life” EP (NDA 006)

“This record has taken quite awhile to see the light of day, but as always, it was worth the wait. For those of you who know the demo this will be no big surprise but there are a few things changed here. First off we have an additional guitar track added, it has been re-mixed by Lasse Ballade at Planet-X, and has been properly mastered for vinyl by Hajji Husayn. The three songs on this are seething with depression and rage which comes off great with the raw delivery of the band. The closest thing I can compare TWGO to is Ronni’s last band No Hope for the Kids but less melodic, and without every song being about war, . There is a distinct introspective element to the lyrics for sure. Another great band from K-town with members of all the bands you already like. This record was also done with limited hand-made covers. Thanks to the band for playing a great record release show here in Hamburg!
